In 1998, Champagne
Edition Inc. began developing its molding division, eco-flex®. The
eco-flex® product line includes a variety of rubber tile surfacing
options, used for decking, driveways, walkways, golf courses,
playgrounds, parks, etc. The introduction of products such as the
cobblestone tiles, grid tiles, I-tiles, Z-bricks, and playground
tiles were included in the eco-flex product line.
During 1999, the company
continued to develop the eco-flex product line, and began extensive
marketing of the same. Also during this year, the company enhanced its
manufacturing capacity by creating a processing line to process tire
shred into rubber crumb, the main ingredient in Champagnes' manufactured
products. The processing line operates under a separate limited company,
"Rubber Tech International Ltd.". By operating its own processing line,
Champagne Edition has a significant competitive edge within the industry,
as it has the ability to process rubber crumb in both quantity and quality.
In 2000 the company expanded
the eco-flex product line to include the "Churchill" bricks, the eco-flex
E-Z Drive® Curb Ramps, beveled playground tiles, and rubber nosing for
stairs. Further product awareness was conducted for this innovative
product line, through tradeshows, and advertising campaigns, including
an eco-flex commercial.
Champagne Edition's growth
over the past 4 years, demonstrates the company's ability, and expertise,
to develop high quality products made from recycled rubber. The company
will continue to develop consumer awareness regarding for its product
lines, in particular, the eco-flex® line, and the many advantages of
choosing this product over others in the market place. By continuing
to create awareness, and ultimately demand for the company's high quality
rubber surfacing products, the company will be one step closer to converting
rubber crumb into a commodity, rather than a century old problem.
