Humane Manufacturing is one of the leading producers of top quality recycled rubber flooring materials. Their interlocking athletic flooring line goes by the LokTuff brand. LokTuff is produced in the USA from recycled rubber, mainly used tires.

There are two manufacturing methods used to produce rubber flooring for athletic applications, compression molding and vulcanizing. LokTuff is a vulcanized product. While both methods can product high quality materials, vulcanizing offers some advantages over the compression molding process.

The rubber particles in vulcanized products are chemically melted into a solid mass that is very dense and waterproof. As a result, LokTuff athletic flooring is extremely wear resistant. It resists tearing and will not curl, separate or cold flow. When properly installed, LokTuff is virtually maintenance-free.

The sturdy interlocking tabs on all LokTuff mats are precision cut after the product is molded, using a high pressure water jet. This minimizes gaps between the pieces and assures that the tiles fit together exactly and lie square and true.

LokTuff is available in 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" thicknesses. This material is also offered in all-black or with colored speckles of red, green, white or blue. The top surface has micro-diamond plate texture that is highly slip resistant.

In addition to thickness and color options, LokTuff is made in a variety of interlocking panel sizes in both straight and beveled edge versions. We can produce a configuration to accommodate virtually any size or shape requirement. Custom trimming is available at the factory to create a floor system that exactly fits your space.
