Using the finest virgin rubber materials Mitchell Rubber Products are vulcanized for added strength and durability.  Unlike the molded products made from recycled rubber, the Best Flex and Diamond Plate tiles from Mitchell Rubber are non-porous and waterproof.

By using virgin rubber, as opposed to recycled materials, Mitchell products gain some significant advantages. The most noticeable difference is the ability to offer bright colors. Most recycled rubber athletic flooring materials are only available in basic black or with a small percentage of colored speckles embedded in the material.  

Mitchell Rubber Products are available in a variety of bright, attractive colors. These colors are not painted on, as is the case with some of the recycled rubber products. The entire tile is produced from colored rubber that will not wear away to expose an uncolored black core. The vulcanizing process assures that these flooring materials are extremely tough and wear resistant.

For athletic flooring applications, Mitchell Rubber makes two products. The Best Flex interlocking rubber tiles are 24" x 24" x 7/16". The interlocking tabs allow the assembly of a floor of any size without the need of adhesive. The modular nature of interlocking tiles permits easy repair or replacement of any individual tile that may become damaged over time. Beveled edge and corner tiles are available to attractively finish any installation and provide trip resistant transition areas in doorways or other traffic areas.  For wall-to-wall installations, these tiles are easily trimmed to fit. Unneeded external tabs can be cut off and placed in unused internal slots to finish the installation.

Best Flex tiles are available in all the standard colors. The pebble grain surface texture is slip resistant and easy to keep clean. As with all Mitchell Rubber sports flooring products, these materials are UV resistant.

The 48" square Diamond Plate rubber tiles are unique to the fitness industry. These tiles are precisely molded to fit tightly together without using interlocking tabs or adhesive. The Diamond Plate tiles are produced with two different texture patterns on each side of the tile. One side hash the recessed Diamond Plate pattern. The other side has an attractive "hammered" finish. In order to assure proper edge alignment, it is important to stipulate when ordering, which pattern will be installed face up.

Diamond Plate tiles are pressure molded to be tough as... well,  diamond plate. This material has a tensile strength in excess of 890 psi and is highly resistant to abrasion. These tiles will not tear, curl or cold flow under even the harshest of conditions. Both the diamond plate and hammered finishes are highly slip resistant in wet or dry conditions.

The Mitchell Rubber Diamond Plate tiles measure 48"x 48" x 3/8". Each tile covers 16 square feet and weighs about 50 pounds. Diamond Plate tiles are available in all the standard colors.
