Slips and falls are one of the world's leading causes of accidents and injuries. Many thousands of people are injured and killed every year as a result of slip and fall accidents. Thousands more suffer injuries caused by falls onto hard surfaces on walkways, playgrounds and other environments. One of  the most important design features found in a safe environment is the inclusion of a flooring system that offers impact attenuation, (shock absorption) characteristics. Recycled tire rubber is an ideal material from which to make flooring components that are at the same time resilient, durable and highly slip resistant. Diamond Safety Concepts distributes of a variety of tiles, pavers and mats made from  virgin and recycled tire rubber. We represent over a dozen manufacturers offering a wide array of flooring materials and specialty products. These recycled rubber products have a tremendous number of potential applications ranging from playground surfacing materials and athletic flooring, to equine flooring systems used in barns and  stables as well as kennel flooring and materials used for patio, walkway and rooftop decking applications.

These colorful rubber tiles and pavers are attractive, extremely durable and virtually maintenance-free. The fact that they are produced from environmentally friendly recycled tires is the icing on the cake.

For concrete and ceramic tile surfaces that can become slippery when wet, we offer Safety Grooving and AST/95. These are the two most effective anti-slip floor treatments available today. Safety Grooving is a patented floor scoring process that uses special diamond tools to cut a shallow groove pattern into concrete or tile floors. AST/95 is a chemical anti-slip treatment developed specifically for use on ceramic and porcelain tile floor surfaces.

Slips and falls do not just occur on flat surfaces. Steps and stairways can be very dangerous places as well. For  interior environments, we offer a full line of  step and stair tread covers  from Musson Rubber, made from virgin rubber and vinyl materials.

For exterior applications, harsh environments and high traffic areas we also offer metal and pultruded fiberglass step covers from Safeguard Technologies. Both of these manufacturers offer products made from the highest quality materials that are attractive, easy to install and very durable.
