Raised Garden Beds & Planters

The plastic, resin, and rubber timbers and borders that we commonly offer for playground applications can be used to make fantastic raised garden beds. These products are easy to assemble and very durable. They can be used in all-weather environments and climate conditions. These materials are non-toxic and will never rust or rot.

The modular nature of our raised garden bed products encourages creativity. Most of these products can be stacked or linked together to scale the length, width, and height, making it easy to create your dream garden design.

Raised bed gardens have been used for centuries to improve growing conditions. The advantages are many. By creating a modular enclosure, the soil characteristics in each enclosure can be adjusted to suit the plant’s specific needs, such as drainage, texture, and fertility. A neighboring raised bed could be filled with a different soil composition created specifically for the plants that will be growing there. The raised nature of the enclosure encourages deep roots while it protects the plants from pests and invasive roots from nearby vegetation.

A garden that is composed of multiple raised beds makes it easy to rotate crops and manage the irrigation and fertilizer requirements for each bed. Winter crops, for example, can be planted in beds that offer the proper drainage and sun exposure while beds that are more appropriate for summer crops can be left un-planted, allowing the depleted soil to be covered with mulch, while it regenerates and waits for spring.

Raised beds allow the soil to warm more quickly, encouraging early growth. They also provide excellent drainage. Since our raised beds can be scaled in all directions, including height, the soil height can be raised to minimize the need to bend over while working in your garden.
