The Guardian VersaTile System produces some of the highest quality rubber athletic and fitness flooring products on the market. The Guardian brand features a selection of products, all crafted from recycled tire rubber and proudly manufactured in the USA.

The Guardian VersaTile system is an enhancement of the renowned Loc-Tuff Fitness Flooring line of interlocking recycled rubber tiles. The new VersaTile series introduces an innovative interlocking tab system that ensures a superior multi-angle connection. VersaTile fitness mats are ideal for athletic settings, including home and commercial gyms, as well as for multi-purpose flooring in schools, churches, and recreation centers. Similar products from the same manufacturer, marketed under the well-known Humane brand, are popular choices for flooring in barns, stables, and various industrial settings.

Guardian VersaTile fitness flooring products are available in three thicknesses: 3/8″ (6mm), 1/2″ (12mm), and 3/4″ (18mm). These mats come in both interlocking and straight-edged styles, with color options including standard black and 22% color specks (refer to the color chart below).

All Guardian recycled rubber gym mat products are manufactured through the vulcanization process. During this process, recycled tire rubber is finely ground and chemically melted. The resulting liquid rubber is poured into molds, where the mats are shaped under precisely controlled heat and pressure. The outcome is a solid rubber block that is both firm and resilient, as well as completely waterproof.

VersaTile interlocking fitness products incorporate the MASS (Modular Athletic Surface System), enabling the integration of mats in various sizes for a customized installation. Tiles measuring 2’x2′, 4’x4′, and 4’x6′ can be interlocked to enhance design possibilities.

The Guardian Versatile fitness flooring features a unique micro-diamond high-traction surface texture, referred to as SafeStep. This texture provides outstanding anti-slip properties while being easy to maintain. VersaTile mats, intended for indoor use, include a special ingredient that controls odors, effectively masking the typical rubber smell found in many imported rubber mats.

Guardian recycled rubber mats are shaped using advanced computerized water-jet technology. This method is employed for precision cutting and to create interlocking edges. The standard mat size options can meet most project requirements; however, for an additional fee, mats can be customized to specific dimensions at the factory.
