Safeguard Technology was founded in 1992 and specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of anti-slip products, focusing on the prevention of slips and falls.

Safeguard specializes in anti-slip solutions for stair treads, landings, walkways, and ladder rungs. All Safeguard Hi-Traction products are available in durable fiberglass as well as stainless or galvanized steel.

These products come in a variety of standard and premium colors. Two-tone and Photoluminescent, Glow-in-the-Dark versions are also available. Six anti-slip textures are offered to cover applications ranging from Barefoot to Xtreme, which is commonly used on offshore oil production platforms.

SAFEGUARD® Walkway Covers are designed specifically for flat areas and are cut to custom specifications. Covers can be configured in multiple pieces for large areas or a heel-toe-pattern to create a designated “safe walking path.”

Safeguard Technology’s unique surface nearly doubles both the OSHA’s 0.5 and the ADA’s 0.6 guidelines for Coefficient of Friction values as confirmed in independent lab testing using the Mark II Model of the Brungraber slip tester. Even in wet or oily conditions, our Safety Covers greatly exceed these guidelines.

We offer 6 different grades of grit, depending on your application. These include Super Coarse (for extreme conditions), Extra Coarse (for offshore and heavy duty use), Coarse (for industrial environments), Fine (for commercial buildings), Extra Fine (for residential steps) and Super Fine (for showers and barefoot areas).
