Equi-Tile, by Environmental Molding Concepts, (EMC), is a firmer and more dense equine flooring version of EMC's popular SportPlay tile. Equi-tile was designed for use in the equine environment, in barns or stables but it works just as well in many other places.

In addition to being a little more dense than SportPlay, Equi-tile has a flat base instead of the shock absorbing, compressible feet, that are one of SportPlay's features.

Equi-Tile is a 24" x 24" square tile which is 1 inch thick. Color options include nine standard colors and more than ten premium color options. Custom premium color blends are also available.

One of the most popular features associated with this product is its ability to be installed without using any adhesive. This makes the installation as well as repairs or reconfigurations very easy. Equi-tile uses specially designed connector pins to invisibly connect the tiles edge to edge. Sloped transition ramps are available and use the same connection system.

Equi-Tile can be installed over any firm-flat subsurface such as concrete, asphalt or over a compacted sand/gravel base. For locations where vandalism may be a problem, Equi-Tile can also be permanently installed using a polyurethane adhesive.

This product has excellent anti-slip characteristics. Although Equi-tile is firmer than SportPlay, it is designed to provide the right combination of cushioning and durability that are required in the equine environment. Equi-tile is equally at home when used in outdoor or indoor applications.

The Equi-Tile manufacturing process creates a durable surface that is slip resistant in wet or dry conditions. The material is water permeable and dries out quickly. Equi-tile is an all-weather product which works as well in hot, cold, wet or dry conditions in any climate zone.

Equi-Tile equine flooring tiles are available in two surface treatments, flat-top and brick-top. The flat-top version looks like a large tile with beveled edges. The brick-top version has a series of shallow grooves molded into the surface, creating a "basket weave" brick pattern.
